What is International School

The International School provides mother tongue education for the foreign nationals and follows the education system of their motherland. The International Schools of English-speaking countries are more than those of other countries. International Schools are set in many places in China, like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and so on. What’s more, according to relevant rules, the students coming from Chinese mainland can not go to the International Schools. At present, Shanghai Pudong International Training Centre is relatively better.

Generally, the International School employs professional foreign teachers to teach classes and the students will not take Chinese College Entrance Examinations. The students can choose to take the college entrance examinations of their own motherland or other countries. Therefore, it is much easier for them to get admitted by western famous universities. Since the lessons are taught in foreign language, the students in International Schools can not speak Chinese although they have lived in China for a long time. This kind of schools, known as the International Schools, are quite different from those Chinese-English teaching schools.
