Preschool Mid-Autumn festival
SSIS Preschool students had a fantastic time learning more about the Mid-Autumn Festival and making mooncakes in the new multi-purpose studio located in our newly opened K-2 wing. With the help of their teachers and class assistants, the Preschool students made mooncakes with SSIS logo at the top.
Instructions were given by their teachers before the students attempt to make their own mooncakes. The students had great fun mixing and making the dough. Each mooncake was then filled with the traditional red bean paste before being sent to the specially designed mooncake mould for re-shaping. The students were excited and delighted as each mooncake was removed from the mould. Students had the opportunity to bring the end products home to share with their family members.
The highlight of the Mid-Autumn celebration was the party held at the Preschool Cafeteria in the afternoon. The cafeteria was decked with colourful and unique lanterns made by each Preschool student. This is indeed a wonderful way to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival!
