Admissions Procedure

Placement Tests and Admissions Interview
Upon submission of all relevant and necessary documents and payment of registration fee, the student will be given a provisional place at REGO. We will then contact parents to advise them on the dates for the Placement Test and the Admissions Interview.

Confirmation of Place at REGO
A confirmed place at REGO can only be offered after the Placement Test and Admissions Interview have been satisfactorily completed and all fees have been paid.

Unsuccessful Applicants
At REGO we practice a non-discriminatory admissions policy. However, we reserve the right not to accept students who do not satisfy our entry requirements.

Waiting List for Full Classes
Applicants who cannot be admitted into REGO due to a lack of vacancies will be placed on our waiting list. Priority will be given to these applicants in the emergence of class vacancies.

Placement Criteria

To determine grade placement, the following factors are taken into consideration:

Age
Your child will be placed in a class of similarly aged students who are on the same physical and emotional platform. It is our philosophy to place students in classes of the same age as our experience has shown this is more suitable for the students development.

Past Academic History
This is especially important at the Secondary level. All applicants must submit the last two years of their academic performance from their last school of attendance. Past academic history allows our teachers to make an assessment of the students educational background so that they can place them in the most suitable grade.

Placement Tests and Admissions Interview
All new students are required to take placement test to determine their level of proficiency in English. As a final measure, new students are interviewed to ensure that all standards have been met and all requirements have been satisfied.
